Not sad at all. You basically sit in the dark and don’t speak so you don’t even need anyone else there with you.

I'd love to do that. My sister-in-law does all the time and it sounds great.

I think I'd be a bit self-conscious.

Go and see it.

It’s seriously good.

The soundtrack defines it.

Hiding in the shadows

No.

Well not to me.

I regularly go on my own.

Due to work, I often can't go on the evenings my friends are going.

I quite like not having to share my popcorn

I go on my own, admittedly I enjoy World Cinema so it can be a arty type cinema rather than a multiplex. So I generally see quite a few people sat by themselves

The Joker is actually playing in my local cinema, so it's a possibility I'll see it

You generally only go in with someone, and then you immerse yourself in the film, so no problem

I love going to the cinema alone. I like odd things though, so if I didn't go alone I wouldn't see them at all.

"...that I'm thinking of going to the cinema on my own?"

Why would it be sad? You get to sit where YOU want to, eat your OWN popcorn plus you don’t have someone down your ear every 5 mins asking what’s did he just say then?’

Love booking a sneaky morning off and catching a film, guaranteed to be empty and I can sit where I want and chuckle and crunch loudly whenever I want.

Love a quiet cinema on a rainy afternoon. It's so much more immersive. Plus it always rains here, so it's always a great couple of hours
