I’m pretty sure toothache is up in the top 10 of the worst pain ever

Luckily I’ve managed to get an appointment for tomorrow but I’m in so much pain right now

If you don't have clove oil, just bite on a clove ... or infuse hot water with cloves and rinse your mouth

Ibruprofen and Codeine capsules are very good, I had a tooth die in my mouth the other week, plus the dentist pierced my sinus while drilling. I found those pain killers very helpful.

Hope you get sorted, tooth ache is terrible!

I agree, toothache is worse than childbirth, I'm not kidding.

This will 99 percent work but it will hurt more initially. Bear with me.

Get some hot salt water, hot as you can bear. Swill it round your mouth, making sure you actually get it on the tooth that hurts. You might have to move your tongue out the way.

It will hurt. The pain may even get worse. But after approx 15 or 20 mins the pain will decrease.

Repeat as necessary.

This got me through many a night when I had excruciating toothache and couldn't get to the dentist.

local, but not too local

Any nerve pain is bad but I once tweaked my Sacral nerve (from groin down inside thigh) and that was like being wired up to the mains

Codeine didn’t get near it!

I despise toothaches, such a poor design choice making the teeth so sensitive.

Last time I had serious tooth ache was when a filling didn’t work.

I want sat at the end of the bed at 4am about to breakdown in tears, got hold of naproxen from a family member and that helped loads! Codeine didn’t help at all.

Had the fucker pulled out in the end. The actual pulling out wasn’t bad, quite a struggle but comfortable overall.

The week after was hard though, loads of swelling and pain, and bone fragments working their way through my gum when the bone underneath the tooth had been damaged through extraction

Hope you get sorted. I have a chronic tooth infection and it flared up earlier this week. Luckily it has died down now.

I totally sympathise with you - It’s awful but...

Gangrenous appendix is rather painful - nearly killed me, that one! But...

Worst pain ever - kidney stone! OMG! I really thought I was dying.

Not that it’s a pain competition but thought I’d share

Rarely had toothache but when it did occur, it wasn't too bad.

However, Kidney stones were far worse. Had them two years ago and ended up in A&E, twice in a week.

First time was as they flared up causing real bad pain. Second time was a few days later when stones moved only to block up in my cock.

Even Gas & Air didn't work as I was rushed into hospital by ambulance - no siren needed, my yelling was enough!

Unless you’ve had a kidney stone you really Cannot contemplate how painful they are.

I was in tears, delirious. I crawled into A&E screaming “help me!” Absolutely awful pain.
