Roll necks....on men

Jump to newest

By (user no longer on site) OP

I popped into the shops earlier and there were some on display.....I’ve worn before and would again....but just wondering what everyone thought. I once watched an episode of first dates where the poor guy got grilled for wearing one

Ladies: Yay or nay?

Gents: Would you wear / have you worn one?

Perhaps because I'm particularly unfashionable but can you explain what a roll neck is?

Mmmn, depends , it's a hard look for a guy to pull off.

Theres a fine line between fashionable and the foreskin look ...

No. My neck is big 21" and they'd be too tight.

With my chins? Not a good look.

Plus from a practical point of view, I'd just boil. I try not to buy round neck tops as it is!

So that's why she wears the dark glasses, so no one recognises her

A lot of southerners were them to make up for not wearing socks with their trousers 3 inches of their shoes

Bit confused. Are these what we called 'polo' necks back in the 70's?

"Is this a foreskin thing? "

Yes. Shifted up top and stretched around the neck. I'd not recommend for someone who has knowingly left last century. Other styles can suit men so much better
