Eggs have been used as symbols for renewal and rebirth since ancient times and used in many cultures and religions. The Christian spin on it you mention is a not exactly a subtle appropriation of the symbolism. | |||

Cadbury's seem to enjoy it every Easter I couldn't care either way, I'm not religious and don't acknowledge any religions at all. | |||
