I referred to one of Kate's friends as reminding me of Mrs Doyle from Father Ted.

The next time she came to our house, my boy said "My Dad said you look like Mrs Doyle"

I'm constantly putting my foot in it. My mouth opens before my brain has time to catch up. It's a bit of a long standing joke in our house. x

The Town by The Cross

Neighbour once said she'd had accupuncture for obesity.

I said .... It didn't work then?

my theory on the chocolate eggs is because eggs symbolises new life (chicks) and chocolate is white and milk chocolate and there are white and black children in the world

so its joining the two and meaning 'new life of children' Celebration of life and of course the Jesus thing

just whats stuck with me from primary school i guess

a Primark shoebox in Leicester

There's a guy at work who is so well ermmm...... let's just say he makes Dale Winton and Graham Norton look like Jason Statham and Gerard Butler.

If he is gay he is so far in the closet, he shares the bathroom with a lion and a witch.

There's constant gossip about his sexuality, but no one has ever asked him or said anything to him. I've always defended his right to keep his private life choices private when the gossips start asking if I know what the score is.

One day someone commented on his pink floral shirt and he jokingly said "Will people think I'm gay because of my shirt".

Without thinking, and god knows why, without even looking up I replied "Trust me it's not just the shirt"........ I really didn't mean to say it.

The Easter egg is supposed to resemble the tomb Jesus was laid to rest in and the gift inside Jesus himself.

The egg also symbolises the new life beginning.

Eggs have been used as symbols for renewal and rebirth since ancient times and used in many cultures and religions. The Christian spin on it you mention is a not exactly a subtle appropriation of the symbolism.

Cadbury's seem to enjoy it every Easter

I couldn't care either way, I'm not religious and don't acknowledge any religions at all.
