I think that they have many uses now. Sometimes it's a nice little memento of time spent together, it can be interesting reading how others perceive you, so you know someone is real (although that's through the leaver's bias and can be faked).

I like them, I think they can be enjoyable to write and funny to read. I try not to give them too much weight but it's still interesting nevertheless.

Nice change of reply. The last didn't quite stand.

On this thread the people who have said "similar" do have their veris private. I deliberately made sure I didn't post it's between me and them because clearly it's not if I have them public. Well the more personal details are private, the fact we met, not so much.

I like my veris. I display the ones I want to and hide the ones I want to keep just for me. They don’t really prove anything as such. They’re just a snapshot in time and good to look back on.

I think veris in general can be used to some good and some not so much. It’s open to abuse unfortunately. I suspect that people in the forums look at them slightly differently because everyone is meeting everyone else and some people won’t like that

Verifications should not be like trip adviser . The green tick is enough for me to indicate the person is a swinger.I will make my own judgement after chatting or socialising. It's different for women of course. They need to see a bit more to give reassurance.

The point of Veri is to establish some form of trust and to get a feel of their personality.

No don't do that. People hate when they get contacted about someone they met.

For me it’s just to prove someone is genuine, any veri given is normally quite vanilla as what went on stays between us.

I read above some won’t meet anyone who hasn’t been verified.... I’ve been four guys first veri and I’ve never been disappointed with any of their company.

We all have to start somewhere, we were all newbies at some point, someone gave us a chance so give them one, just be smart where you meet.

I'm probably not qualified to comment as I don't have any veris, mainly because I've not met anyone yet, and I have no intention of going to a club.

But, to me, a veri only proves a person is who they say they are, and not necessarily who they actually are. Official documents, such as passport or driving licence prove that.

In the past, on other dating sites, when arranging a meet I've sent a message with my name, address and a link to a website for a community organisation I volunteer for.

I get it. But it wouldn't change my mind. Everyone reduces their risk in the way that suits them, even if they feel unfair to others.

That’s fine everyone does what suits them best.

I leave a piece of paper in my living room detailing as much as I know about them, where I’m meeting etc, so if the unlikely happens they have a starting point.

Other than to inform other fabbers that they have met you in person and are not a psycho killer. Absolutely nothing. When you join, pay, verify your email, verify your picture. It's clear you are who you say you are. I imagine it isn't as clear cut as that though

Not undetected, because patterns confirm if crime was done by one man. I think arrested would be correct word, so how many unarrested mans are on fab? , I am venturing out in night kind frightened, and don't watch Scarry movies, kind of phobia, can we discuss something else

That's why I only meet people with less than 4 veris on their profile.

They may have met 4 or 4,000 people, I'd never know. Makes it exciting Russian roulette.
