Little things that make you happy

Jump to newest

I'm in no way materialistic. Little things make me happy. A bit of thoughtfullness, watching the night sky, a bag of chips by the sea.

This year I've been sharing my lunch at work with a Robin and a Blackbird. The Robin occassionally eats out of my hand. The Blackbird comes within a few inches.

Heart warming stuff and makes my day.

What little things in life do you like?

When someone I have a thing with calls me a cute pet name that they know I like.

Has quite the opposite effect if a stranger tries to call me cute names though Haha

Hugs from my kids.

Sitting in the garden when it's quiet and listen to the birds sing. To watch the sky change colour and make images out of clouds.

Fresh bedding after a shower and a de-fuzz.

Galaxy chocolate and a cup of Yorkshire tea.

Laying in D's arms.

So so much more!!

Jo.Xx

I was brought a chicken burger at 3am and it was the best thing ever.

Actually I'm a big fan of people gifting me food whenever

I just love it when people you care about think about little things for you. So touching.

"I just love it when people you care about think about little things for you. So touching."

Yes! It doesn't have to be grand gestures but something small and well meaning is always appreciated.

I love coming home and it being warm and just, well, homely.

I love audios from my friends. Hearing their voices and their smiles and laughter.

I love my partner messaging me to say he's on his way home. I used to eyeroll it but now it's reassuring and very much us.

I love sitting outside with a cup of hot chocolate and listening to the birds.

And I love those kisses on the top of the head. They always make me feel fuzzy inside and a bit special.

When cats butt you with their heads repeatedly in a gormless manner, that bunting.
