"Got variable focal ones, now I'm used to them can't go back, I can't be bothered swapping between two sets all the time, and even screens for work are fine with it. When I put my sunglasses on in the car that are vary, it's most wierd that the dash is all murkey " How rude, I'm not murkey!!

"They are good but you have to persivere with them, for the first few days they can make your head spin but your brain compensates after a while. " That has been my experience too, they can mess with your balance and co-ordination at first. You realise the trick is to move your head, not just eyeballs. After a week, you should be fine. Its worth paying for good lenses.

"I have driving glasses and they are also good for tv, but does anyone wear varifocals? Are they good for short and long focus? Sick of swapping mine about. " Yes, i find thy work well for me.

They do take a while to get used to, but i wouldnever go back to ordinary glasses

"I think it depends on your prescription. I have them, they're go for driving as the dashboard sits nicely within the near prescription and the road in the far prescription. However, I still have to take them off to use the computer as the screen distance is typically somewhere between the two." Yes I am finding this

Yes I am finding this" You can get varifocals to do middle distance too, which allow you to focus on computer screens. I have them and it took about 2 weeks to fully get used to them.

"Forgot to mention, you can have the boundary ‘line’ between the different prescriptions moved slightly, if you experienced any ‘conflict’ between them. The optician had set my far and middle distance right in between my pupils, which made the walking and watching tv blurry at times. Also, if you can afford it, pay for the widest ‘width’ to get the optimum range of sight."
