Is it ok to have this tattoo on your body or any reference made to it in view of its historical implications to black men/women?

I understand why women have these tattoos because they like black men but does it offend any one?

It depends on what definition of the term you choose. Personally, I think a necklace is much better as you can take it off whenever you want.

I have worn and sell temporary queen of spade tattoos

The men I have been with at the time of me wearing them actively encouraged it.

Some people may find them bad but plenty take them the way they are intended which is a white woman wanting to declare her desires for a black man.

I have a small spade tattoo in my groin. It simply refers to me being a gardener. The guys were having actual spades (digging ones) tattoed so I went for the playing card sign. Had no idea there was a racial element to this.

I've known of the symbol for about 10 years. I just thought it means the woman only goes for black men. Don't know if there is any deeper meaning to it.

Personally would never have thought anything but motor head song, gambler etc..checked urban dictionary and found only one reference to a person's skin colour..some of the other meanings made me smile yes a part of the wording was an old rarely now used term but never as a card

The playing cards symbol usually with a 'Q' above or inside. It connotes white women with a sexual preference for black men. It can be seen on tee shirts or even as a tatoo. Also a way for a white woman to let potential black lovers know she is available.

"Did you see her queen of spades?" You know what SHE"S into!"

You don’t think that white people deal with racism? I’ve been assaulted by a group of Asians, as a teen, for being white. Those with “no white men” or “ black men only” are knowingly, attempting to place white men, within the same situation as black men in the 1940s. There are now more racist assaults on white people than any other race.

White people are now finding it harder to get jobs specifically for being white. We are being placed under an umbrella of being privileged and racist due to our skin colour. Oxbridge allow those with darker skin in, with B’s, whilst Caucasians must have 3 A*s.

I’m so sick of this made up racism that frankly, does not exist. It has been turned on its head, and Caucasians are being targeted, while those of African descent are still the ones getting “protection” from a ghost that isn’t there.

Inb4 black men are targeted by police: yes, when they dress and act like a “gangsta” stereotype, the police will target you. If you’re in Glasgow, wearing a tracksuit, with a skin head - the same will happen. Otherwise, there isn’t an issue. Good luck with your believing you’re the great protector of black men in 2019.

That's almost laughable. Only it's really not very funny.

I've been the victim of racist abuse and I've been attacked for being British.

For you to say that racism is just a "Ghost" in the UK and that it doesnt go on, just shows how out of touch with reality you are.

I've been in low paid jobs all my life, anything from armed forces, and truckdriving to service engineering. The amount of customers, colleagues and bosses I've met in the past who make racist remarks the second a Black or Asian customer/rep leaves the vicinity is absolutely shocking. I used to ignore it, now I challenge their bullshit.

The smidgen of racism you may feel as a white man in a predominantly white country - is all in your mind. What you're actually describing is Equality.. giving non white people a fair crack at things, giving them role models to aspire to, icons to be seen in areas other than entertainment.

What any of that has to do with men and women branding themselves with a racist tattoo is beyond my comprehension.

I have to question the motives behind the black men who supposedly like their white women branded in this way. Is it because they secretly despise the women they fuck? Is it because they're so desperate that they'll fuck anything/one?

Or something I'm really not getting?

I wouldn't knowingly have sex with a black woman who only slept with white men. Maybe I've got too much respect for myself?

Sad thing is, I fear a lot of this boils down to kink and fetish and that these women and their white partners get an extra kick out of it, purely because of the taboo of interracial sex.

Thd loss paid job bit is irrelevant really, because I hear the same vile bullshit coming from wealthy customers. Only when it's out of earshot of the victim..

They just assume that because I'm a white working man that I'm bound to feel the same way.

I had a doctor ask me a few questions the other day, he found out I'd been in Iraq. Like most people, he incorrectly assumed I harboured I'll feelings towards Iraqis and Muslims in general. The opposite is true, I used to hate these conversations, they made me feel really awkward and I kept my mouth shut. Now, I go to great lengths to make twats like that feel awkward, explaining why we went to war, explaining how long we've been interfering in Muslim countries politics, how I was raised in the Middle East and was treated with kindness and respect. Though that is how I was brought up to treat everyone.

I think the first comment in this thread from the only black guy who has posted probably should be listened to too.

Absolutely. White people are very good at having discussions about race and racism and ignoring the people that actually suffer from it.

In my defence wearing them. There are lots of black men that love the tattoos.

Whenever you type something, all I ever see is narcissism.

I've never noticed you before, you must be boring. You'll be glad to know I've taken the test and don't even come close. "

Let me guess, my opinion and experience is negligent - due to being white....

Everyone exists within the same melting pot. White against black against Asian against aborigine. There is no race exempt from it. The fact that you all think that being white makes an experience lesser than if you were of colour, is sheer stupidity. Placing “no white men” on your profile is the exact same as pubs having “no black people”. It’s not a preference, it’s a dig and attempt to make those of a certain race feel inferior. You can easily block all men and message the small pool of black men; but no, you purposely place this on your profiles to stir up anger.

It connotes white women with a sexual preference for black men. It can be seen on tee shirts or even as a tatoo. Also a way for a white woman to let potential black lovers know she is available. "Did you see her queen of spades?" You know what SHE"S into! Is what I got when I urban dictionaries the Queen of spades. Or does it have a different meaning on men?

Everything is about intent guys and perception. If there is no intention to portray any negative associations with this symbol then the only reason it may be offensive is because the person finding it negative has perceived it to be.

If someone has it to be offensive then clearly they are bigots. If they have it as a sign of preference or kink then its not racist. Peace x

I never said that it never existed. I said that people are continuously clinging on to a situation that hasn’t existed for generations. If you think that the uk is as bad as the USA in the 40s you’re lost. You also mentioned that allowing those of colour into oxbridge was about equality. Are you aware of the meaning of the word? Equality would be allowing those in that have the grades, regardless of colour. That is, unless you don’t feel that they can make the entry grade; which is how it sounds.

Whenever you type something, all I ever see is narcissism.

I've never noticed you before, you must be boring. You'll be glad to know I've taken the test and don't even come close.

Narcissism and npd are not the same thing. Strong fail.

“I’ve never noticed you before” - continuously replies to me.....

Continuously? Have a word with yourself. All this because I dared challenge you for saying racism doesnt exist? I'm done with you, bye.

"

We're done.. hush.. stop continuously replying to me.. Jeez! Are you narcissistic or something?

"Is it any different than having than says cross tattooed? If it has meaning for you then do it- just dont do a swass sticka

I think the first comment in this thread from the only black guy who has posted probably should be listened to too.

Absolutely. White people are very good at having discussions about race and racism and ignoring the people that actually suffer from it.

In my defence wearing them. There are lots of black men that love the tattoos.

You don't even know what your talking about, you know nothing

Let me guess, my opinion and experience is negligent - due to being white....

Everyone exists within the same melting pot. White against black against Asian against aborigine. There is no race exempt from it. The fact that you all think that being white makes an experience lesser than if you were of colour, is sheer stupidity. Placing “no white men” on your profile is the exact same as pubs having “no black people”. It’s not a preference, it’s a dig and attempt to make those of a certain race feel inferior. You can easily block all men and message the small pool of black men; but no, you purposely place this on your profiles to stir up anger. "

Ehm... Not everything is about people like you. And my body is not a pub, thank you very much.

Not everyone in swinging world has an open mind, surely that much is clear? Most aren't even prepared to question why they have their own kinks, preferences and fetishes.

Why am I debating this subject? Because I find the idea of a 'Spades' tattoo abhorrent. Ghe post asked for opinions, I gave mine. I'm not scared of a debate/argument or squabble.

I'm personally uncomfortable with race fetishisation anyway. People can do what they like with their body but as with anything that is incredibly loaded like that, you have to accept you are highly likely to offend people with doing so and people may not wish to interact with you as a result. A reverse swastika for example is a sacred symbol for many religions but of course it would be incredibly unwise to have one tattooed in this part of the world due to the connotations.

As a white woman, I'm not sure if I'm 'allowed' to find this symbol offensive or not - as some would say it's only the target of its symbolism, i.e. black guys, who get to decide that. Nonetheless it's always made me feel uncomfortable when used in the context being discussed. Because my understanding is that 'spade', when used to refer to a black man is derogatory and unnecessary. It reminds me of the (disparaging) way black people were spoken about in 1970s US TV cop shows like Starsky and Hutch. ... and feels similar to other derogatory terms used to describe various ethnic groups.

In any case, I've always wondered *why*, exactly, women with a preference for black guys need to advertise it like that anyway? Of course every individual is absolutely entitled to have individual preferences but if you find someone attractive, regardless of their skin colour, you approach them, smile at them, make eye contact or message them. Whatever method you usually use to provoke contact. I just don't see the point of displaying something which apparently translates as 'I like black men' (... 'so if you're black please approach me') because *surely* you couldn't possibly fancy every last black guy seeing as they come in a multitude of shapes, sizes and appearances, just like any other group of men you care to categorise by skin colour, ethnicity, nationality etc. I guess, to me, that symbol, used like that, gives me the impression that 'black men' are seen as some kind of homogeneous group, rather than as individuals. That's what I personally find distasteful.

It also kind of implies, to me, that black men need the 'permission' granted by this display, before they'd approach a white woman. That certainly has a racist undertone, as if white women are superior.

I've wracked my brain and can't think of any other symbol worn or tattooed used to denote a liking for people with a particular skin colour. Or with a specific ethnic background. Probably because, as I tried to explain above, it's not necessary. You either find someone attractive or you don't. You avoid those you don't like for whatever reason and concentrate your efforts on the people you do.

Not understanding why a woman with a white husband wearing something like that in public is like the majority of the country not understanding why couples swap partners. But here we are on a swinging site. Cuckold couples are misunderstood as not a lot of people get what goes on or understand it.

So just because you dont understand it doesnt mean it is wrong. Just accept that some people are different from you.

I sense it's also about showing white guys (if it's not in a hidden area) that the woman with the symbol only goes for black guys. A "1 up" kind of mentality, that says "your" women belong to us.

Being South Asian, the tattoos don't bother me.. If I see a woman with one, to me, it just means she's only into black guys.

This is what I have been attempting to explain. It is also the reason why a black man would like a white woman to have one. It’s a form of branding and ownership. To enslave white women, thus reverse racism, the same as the white women with their reverse racist “no white men allowed” signs on their profiles.

I personally care not one bit, but this is the connotations. The women that don’t understand this, are the type to believe Jeremy Corbyn to be a good candidate for pm.

Wow. Just wow. Where did all this come from? Although no one is immune from racism, I don't think denying you access to someone's body and time equates denying access to jobs, education and public facilities. Ah well... Good luck fighting your chimerae."

"As a white woman, I'm not sure if I'm 'allowed' to find this symbol offensive or not - as some would say it's only the target of its symbolism, i.e. black guys, who get to decide that.

You actually get it. The term spade is a derogatory term towards black men.

I personally do not find the tattoo or jewellery offensive but I do scratch my head. Women who attend interracial/BBC parties are going there for black men so why would you need a tattoo or other jewellery saying you're a Queen of Spades (which we now know to be a racist term). Remember this ladies you maybe a Queen but you'll never be the Queen of me lol.

I can understand on a normal club night. In some ways some women should be glad for these ladies because at least black guys like myself, will know to approach them. It could save embarrassment or unease if ladies are not into black guys.

At the end of the day we can't really find the tattoo or jewellery offensive. We live in a different time now and we all swing. In this world the tattoo/jewellery has no racist meaning behind it when worn by women. It means one thing. She likes black guys. Simples. And if black guys do find it offensive maybe they should stop playing with women displaying QoS imaginery.

I would find it more offensive if a group of white guys said "oh look she's a Queen of Spades. You know what she's into".

Let's get over the tattoo and continue swinging.

I think we need the Cadbury Caramel bunny from the '80's to intervene on this thread "relllaaaxxxxxx...."

You fellas really know how to wind yourselves up, it used to upset me to watch ppl spoiling their own day but I'm slightly intrigued and fascinated by it now. I guess a few of you didn't arrive here happy today. Has anyone learned anyththing from this thread today or have you just scratched your balls and grunted. Personally I have learned that some chicks have tatts to express their sexual preferences, I didnt know that before. I wouldn't judge anyone too deeply on their sexual behaviour or appearance tbh, but if I decided to then I'd do it politely and less head on and with an openness to having my opinions changed.... ....if the thread had been treated with more respect then perhaps someone with one of these tatts would have had the confidence to come on and explain why and give us all a better insight...?
