I'm thinking of attending a club on my own but the thought fills me with fear.

As a single woman that is a bit shy how do I make myself look less awkward? Sit by the dance floor/ bar area? What have you fellow single people done to blend in?

Maybe try going with a non-sexual friend?

Treat it as kinda like any other pub/ club and ease yourself in, most people are friendly and make some small talk, just put on a happy face and you’ll be fine

I go to chams alone, if you go there, sit by the bar, the staff will introduce you around or if you go on a Friday I'll be there and I can introduce you

In a town full of colours

I'm going to a club for the first time with a seasoned fabber, after that I would be happy to go on my own, maybe you could find a couple who are going from here and then break off on your own once you are happy?

First time I went I went on my own, was a little worried as I'd never been before... so I took myself off to the jacuzzi which was empty at the time and floated in there til I calmed down. A few people came in and naturally they said hello, I replied with "don't mind me I'm just having a float. First time nerves and finding my bearings". People were lovely to me and made me feel comfortable.

I'm sure you're now going to get a lot of offers to chaperone you.

Glasgowish

Stay near the bar, relax and enjoy. Chat to new folk and see what happens.
