I've heard those nose strips are good but not sure which brand is best. I just elbow him in the face - that usually turns him over - not sure what he does to me as I'm a snorer too and he's only ever woken me up for sex (he brings coffee too!) Maybe that's his way of stopping the snoring lol

He should go to the doctor and try to get a sleep study. Also it could be a sinus problem which makes it difficult to breathe through his nose.

The sleep study will prove what type of snorer he is and make sure he does not have sleep apnea.

I had a sleep study kit from the hospital which I had to use at home and got the results in a few weeks from a consultant.

You need to ascertain whether he's snoring through his nose, or his mouth. Google it, and there's a quick test you can do. The nasal strips work in some cases of nose snoring, and you can get a device that looks a bit like a sports' gum shield for mouth snoring.

I used to snore horrendously.. even the neighbours could hear me!

Had the gum shield.. it made my teeth ache because it pulls your bottom jaw forward and all the pressure is on your teeth and you end up sleeping in a puddle of drowl, not attractive!

Treind the noes strips too, they just ended up stuck on my eyebrow or in my ear.

In the end I had an operation on my throat to "tighten up the baggy bits" vibrating in the wind so to speak and hey presto cured!! Now its only the wind from my butt that keeps the Mrs awake!

If it's due to his throat relaxing, there are a few sprays you can buy over the counter which can help.

If you ever sense him stopping breathing during sleep you should convince him to go to the doctor. Heavy snoring can be indicative of a medical problem.

Hugs
