What’s a good veri?

Jump to newest

I was just talking to someone who seemed to be saying that ‘not too mental’ was his baseline for a good veri. Wasn’t sure whether he meant for one he received, wrote or read. I generally hope for a bit better than ‘not too mental’ in a verification.

What makes a good veri for you - to receive, read or write?

Please, if you don’t like veris that’s fine, but just stating that isn’t adding anything to the thread.

I've never once written a serious veri while I've been here

I like funny ones and ones that are obviously made up and in good humour.

Ones that say "suck like a dyson" and "wow, what can i say about her" are just boring

Nothing too graphic - A nice summary of how the person conducted themselves during the meet , and leave a little to the imagination

"What is 'not too mental'? "

Now I want one that says that so I can display it as my only veri.

I’m sure they do. They’d never be displayed though. The faint praise ones are much more telling.

I had one on a previous profile that said I was a witch and had a fungal disease. I got a surprising number of serious queries about my health..

We got a faint praise one but I think it was because we wouldn’t adjust our boundaries for the meet. We had been clear about them ahead. We aren’t exactly sure that it was the reason, but hid that veri and the one from them previously as they seem to have a lot of drama we didn’t want to be wrapped up in anyway. We’d always show our hidden ones to a meet if they were worried. - Mrs

I prefer funny, not too serious, verifications, I hate those that go into so much detail feels like I've read a porn book!

Nor do I like those that use the words, slut, spunk, whore.

Vile!

I have come to the conclusion it’s better to keep mine private. So the Verification is just a reminder of the time together.

Ooh yes. I have one that says I am a “complete fake”.

From someone who clearly got upset when I said I didn’t want to meet him (that must have been my only reason for not meeting right?)

But in all the years I’ve been in the site that was my one and only bad verification

.

Ones to receive - ones that make smile. Or the ones that are really lovely and make me want to boob hug the person.

Ones to give... ermmm... ones that make me smile as I write them. Over the years I've done some ridiculous ones and they tickle me - I get an idea about a person and just go with it.
