Washing up liquid on a sponge and dab onto the oil don't scrub or it will strip the colour.

Buy a black clothes dye from wilkos, soak pants and dye in cold water for recommended time.

Wash with similar colours on 30° and there you have two new items.

Soda crystals are my go to for any kind of stain. Soak them in these and hot water then add some to your wash. If it's the same jeans that are losing colour though, they might take more out so you'll need to do it before doing the dye wash.

Perhaps the blackness fading from your pants is a sign from above suggesting you buy a new pair?

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

My chest is always getting oil drips, usually on my best clothes. The washing up liquid tip doesn't seem to work on all materials. I stick a brooch on if it's something I really want to keep.

Try that.

Iron the oil mark over a piece of brown paper, several times in a clean piece paper each time, it heats the oil and the paper absorbs it. There will be a residue so use the washing up liquid or neat biological washing liquid or a Vanish again had on the stain then put them in the washing machine.

Or, buy a new pair.

In future wash your black stuff in a detergent designed for dark colours.

That doesn't make sense. Iron a piece of brown paper over the oil.
