Thinking of going speed dating and someone's mentioned that I should take some home made cakes as I love baking and my cakes always go down well with the staff.

Should I take some cakes?

CAKE....SOMEONE SAY CAKE! Take your home baked treats and make someone's day. It's a winner in our books. If they don't appreciate the sentiment, there not worth knowing.

Well judging by how much everyone on here loves cake, I’d say you were on to a winner.

You only have a few minutes to impress and it would be a very cold and uptight type of person that wouldn’t be made happy by the offer of some cake.

Good luck!

Maybe take bite size versions though. Dont want someone chomping their way through the 2 minutes and not finding out anything except what cake they like!!

But yes, cake is a winner!!

Know who you’re baking for.

Nooo, not for me, I'd feel like I had to eat one out of politeness even though I don't really like cake all that much. Most people would probably love it though.

Most speed dating events are held at bars and restaurants, so it's unlikely you're cakes world be appreciated.

The women may like your buns though

Like a sexy musical chairs, with cake instead of music? Last one holding the tin, licks it out.

I’ve never been speed dating but actually thinking of going soon when the next event near me is on and I’d love to be offered a home made bite-sized nibble while we chatted. It would certainly make me remember you

I'd offer them a piece at the end of the time only if they wanted one.

I think it is on CH4, where they cook a course to see who's the best to date. We'd have to come up with a different concept for here maybe.

Well I'll offer them a piece with maybe a minute to go, they don't have to take one, I get it might be a bit weird
