The idea of an electric blanket scares me, sleeping wrapped in something that could short circuit while I'm sleeping.

Plus I normally always too warm at night anyway.

I always sleep with the windows open. Get way too hot at night. Doesn’t matter if it’s -5 outside, windows are wide open!

Most have safety cut outs. Many have timers that switch off after a certain time too.

I'm with you two. I feel like I'm being tortured when someone puts the heating on, never mind having a radiator built into a blanket!

Put heavier pj's on & a heavier duvet. Get a fleecy bottom sheet on & Make bed in morn.

3 in 1: Cuts your electric bill, no fire hazard & eco friendly

Not used an electric blanket in years, a good duvet is all you need and some decent PJs (if you wear them).

I have never before been so sexually aroused by the thought of crumpet consumption; Indeed, toasted hot cross buns have never bequeathed me such a resulting, wondrous erection. Am I normal? Are there helplines for this particular sort of thing?

I love mine, have no heating in my flat and it's an old building so if it's cold outside it is freezing in my bedroom. Have it on for about an hour before I get into bed, keep it on until my feet defrost and I am warm enough and then it goes off for the night. When you get up to pee you have to run back to bed quick before the body heat leaves. Got ten tog duvet with a throw over it, anything heavier than that and I feel crushed and I find pjs too restrictive as I sleep as I am one of those tossing and turning restless sleepers. Wouldn't survive winters without my electric blanket!
