"Harvested apples and pressed about 200 litres of juice at the weekend. About 1/2 will go for cider, the rest for juice for drinking and a bit for ACV. Any other fabbers into apple pressing / cider ? I did a couple of years ago. But i only have a grape press. Took ages!! Cider was crystal clear though, like champagne. " Team effort if i remember...

"Just our second year making cider, just racked around 30 litres off the yeast, 10 litres straight into pet bottles with sugar to carbonate, 1 gallon steeped with spices (just trying this out), 1 gallon sweetened, and the last one just as it comes. Will leave them in the demijohns for a couple of months before bottling. 300 litres must be nearly commercial scale lol?! Took us long enough to prep, and juice 30 litres. What do you use? We have a Vigo press, forget the size, but it was the biggest I could get from the brewing shop. " I brew-it in 40 gallon wooden barrels but get it pressed locally for me

I can do about 60 Litres per hour with this setup.

"My two trees bore hardly any fruit this year Hopefully a decent harvest next year " It can be vary variable. Some trees can be a bit bi-annual, also the wrong weather at blossom time can wreck the crop. This year I had some trees do really well, others nothing.
