Honestly it's a tough one to call. I mean the top All Black players know the top English players games so well and vice versa...... that's because they all went to the same school together growing up in Fiji.....

I really think the game of the weekend is going to be All Backs vs England.

I always find it very amusing when the All Blacks get a neutral ref. After they are penalised they get this puzzled look on their faces and say "Are you sure there's an offside law in rugby? We've never been blown up for it before!" Or "No no no ref! You can come into the ruck fron any side if you wear a black jersey!"

Go Nigel you beaut!

I was at the Scotland vs SA in Newcastle in the last RWC and there was a player acting injured after a late-ish charge. You could hear him all the way across the field say "This isn't THAT game!" Such a character and ambassador for rugby.

Possibly one of my favourite Nigel moments.

Also loved when he was telling off Chris Robshaw in a game, wagging his finger at him like a naughty schoolboy whilst giving him a side eye. “Christopher”

“Sorry Sir”

He’s a class act, no one even comes close.

I used to work a couple of miles from Despatch where Rassie started off as a ballboy. One of the guys I worked with used to be his coach. Whenever we couldn't agree on something he would call up Rassie and he would settle the issue. So I guess I owe Rassie. He's got a good rugby head on his shoulders, was a good player in his day too. The difference he has made to Springbok rugby is enormous. Not just their playing skill but also racial unity.

My son wants to come over here and play club rugby. He's a bodybuilder 185cm 90kg and 17 years old. Still growing. He plays for the same school Mike Catt went to and is rugby mad. Wish I still had connections.

All Black supporters are always nervous with a neutral ref. Then in all boils down to skill and that's a whole new ball game.

Possibly, have to see. Naturally I hope you'll be right, but England can definitely beat us on their day.

I do think history is overused a bit. Those past RWC matches shouldn't really have any direct relevance to the upcoming game.

Nope. We embrace neutral ref's. Were calling for them for ages, esp. given some experiences in SA over several decades before isolation.

. Yes history is overused and should have no bearing in the result of this match as the last World Cup match was in 1999 so none of the players playing tomorrow have any connection to it yet I always feel where England are concerned be it Rugby Union or Football it’s almost like there is some sort of mental block that stops them from performing when they play certain nations in World Cups.

After the Japan game Handre Pollard was interviewed and it was pointed out to him that Wales have had the ascendancy in the last few games. Handre just smiled ironically and said he was looking forward to playing Wales on neutral ground. The point being that when SA are playing Wales on a muddy field in the pouring rain in 5 degrees its very different to home conditions. They are used to high heat and a solid field.

I think at that point SA were favourites. After the red appointment I think the odds swung drastically the other way. Jake White now believes Wales will be lifting the Web Ellis Trophy.

I think we have different definitions of what a neutral ref is.

Before Isolation reffing was so bad there was a documentary made about it. But that was before the professional era and the ref was supplied by the home nation. And that was a tit for tat which went both ways.

"Just starting to get nervous. I'm on a complete loser at work. We win, nothing is said. We lose, I won't here the end of it for weeks! . Nothing to be nervous about New Zealand have beaten England all 3 times they have met at the World Cup and I think they will make it 4 out of 4

All Black supporters are always nervous with a neutral ref. Then in all boils down to skill and that's a whole new ball game.

Nope. We embrace neutral ref's. Were calling for them for ages, esp. given some experiences in SA over several decades before isolation.

I'm nervous cos I think it will be a tough hard close match.

I think we have different definitions of what a neutral ref is.

Before Isolation reffing was so bad there was a documentary made about it. But that was before the professional era and the ref was supplied by the home nation. And that was a tit for tat which went both ways.

https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/rugby/rugby-news/rugby-world-cup-pundits-astonishing-17040011?utm_source=whatsapp&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=sharebar

https://youtu.be/DJadUAgIYgU

"

I guess we probably do. Absolutely no aggressive or confrontational tone intended, but to be honest, I'm not going to engage with you on that specific topic or read your links (I can guess what they're about without opening them).

That's not any kind of admission of guilt or anything like that, but I just don't have the inclination anymore to spend time and effort refuting and coming up with equally valid counter-examples to what people see through their own eye patches. We all have our opinions - let's just leave it at that and enjoy the feast of top quality rugby this weekend irrespective of who wins.

Thanks.
