I've been wondering this for a little while now, why do people repeat verify?

In my thinking and the reason behind the veri system, is to indicate that you met and that the person is real, etc. So why repeat verify someone?

Is it bragging, lamppost pissing, possessiveness or am I missing something here?

What are your thoughts folks?

So you have a written memory to look back on. Nowt to be ashamed of. I've looked back on veris I've written/recieved and thought "fucking hell I totally forgot about that" in reference to an inside joke or element that happened.

I like reminders of time spent and little in jokes about that time but that's the only reason I personally would leave a repeat veri - and even then there's a danger they can get samey anyway.

Certainly would never do it to lamp post piss and if I felt one left for me was aiming to I wouldn't display it.

For me it's, I met this person on this day or at this event. I don't necessarily show them all or verify every time. And it's nice to read what someone else thought about the experience.

Reading other people's, there can be something to be said for "this person was worth a repeat meet according to this other person".

I tend not to leave repeat ones unless one was just a social and the next was more.

If I've been meeting someone for a while I might occasionally leave them a new one but definitely not every time.

If I read lots of repeat verifications from someone on a profile it can sonetimes put me off, I don't want to step on anyone's possessive little toes, so I'm conscious of not seeming like that when I leave them.

I'd never even considered this as an issue/debate. I have a few repeat veris, some socials that have developed, others where the play was so special it warranted another review.

I've always imagined them to be like virtual "Thank you" notes.

I use veris as mementos of a special time together, so repeat veris in that case, make sense to me. However I don’t show my veris so it wouldn’t be a sign of possessiveness. Also with one exception when I had a social followed by a sexual rendezvous a week later, I have not met anyone else more than once.

I’m wary about multiple public veris from the same person. It causes me to question the motives for it.

I do it for the memory side of things - I enjoy writing different ones that reflect a changing dynamic and it doesn't necessarily have to be displayed nor do I display mine. It's nice to have a bit of a ti_eline, I've never written someone more than two though.

There are so many reasons why people do multiple veris and they range from the first social, to the funny, to the possessive and everything in between. People look at them differently and will use that facility according to their style, just like posting on a thread I suppose, individual style.

It doesn't really bother me, I'm not too into verifications in the first place (although I do understand the purpose of them). I personally wouldn't display a whole stream of regular verifications from the same person and would ask them not to leave one every time we met (if they were regular). Not saying there's nothing wrong with more than one from the same person if, say you'd not seen them for a year or so or something like that.

Have done them, but have since stopped displaying those with individuals, meets or play, as to be honest it's nobody's business.

I occasionally do repeat veri. If I met someone for a social, then had a sexual encounter later, or if it's been a long time between meets.

People do it for various reasons I guess the most is to indicate they are still active. The reality is its just a few words from some other profile on line and it means little far better to make your own mins up on people. I will say though a repeat verifications does indicate someone was worth meeting again and it can mean more than bla bla bla words.

I do social, private, then (after months or longer) still seeing this person (written in a way that doesn't make it look like I'm claiming them, more that I recommend).

For club meets I'm much more likely to verify each time, but we both have veris in between and we talk about it being a club thing, if that makes sense.
