About 25 years ago we went to Jersey and whilst there went to the underground hospital.

Sobbed my heart out considering how man could be so feckin cruel to his fellow man.

About two weeks ago , i went to a mates i hadnt seen in ages and was very moved to tears...

she still hadnt cleaned the place, it was fucking filthy

A village called Oradour-sur-Glane in Haute Vienne, France

On the 10th June 1944 the whole village was rounded up by the occupying German Army. 642 men, women and children were killed,6 people escaped from the masacre.

The village has been left as it was left on that day.

It was the saddest place I have ever been

The cemetary at Aberfan .... rows of identical graves mostly children who all died together when a waste tip buried their school .... the coal board charged the relief fund to remove the tip!!

Been to Aushwitz Concentration Camp and Majdanek (Lublin) concentration camp.

No words can describe it.

It has to be seen to be beleived and even then, it's difficult to take on board

The Italian Chapel on Orkney. The workmanship of ordinary men imprisoned there during WW2. Incredible and very moving!

Maybe a bit bizarre this one, but the nursing home I eventually went to work in on the day of my interview.

They took us for a walk round as there was me and a bloke that had gone for a couple of jobs there and just seeing the residents sat round the edge of the room so lifeless from the people they'd once been was awful, I was only 17 at the time.

I did go to work there and hopefully made some kind of difference to their lives but even now I can close my eyes and remember the first time I saw what old age care was like

I was stationed near Belsen, in Germany where 2 million people were gassed, thought it was an old wives tale when i was told that no birds sing in the surrounding area, its true. Its a terrible place . You can still see the railway lines where they made there last ever journey.

We came across something almost identical in Crete. Later that day the people from the next village came down to bury the dead. The only survivor was a child found lying under his dead mother's body. Now a man, I met him. The thing that finally reduced me to tears was when I found out we share a birthday.

Difficult question for me as many things can move me to tears.

I work in DAYCARE for mainly the elderly and the fact we will probably be closing due to cutbacks etc

CAN bring a tear to my eye.

I care for them and know them so well , knowing anything we do for them is so appreciated.

They often live alone or with carers who sometimes only do it for the money.

We are in effect, their family.

What will happen to them once we are gone.?

To pat, kath, anne, stan, peter, and so on and so on....

What will happen when rob doesnt come and he has literally no one else. ?

It breaks my heart.

the place that reduced me to tears was visiting the churchyard for the 1st time to see where my sons ashes were scattered,my 1st husband never let me go... but 25yrs later (4 his birthday)i finally got to go ..it was so moving i cried n cried..was a army graveyard so very overwhelming ...
