"Oooh so many, Led Zep II takes me straight back to my wild child youth....!! The hippie in me loves 'Battle for Evermore' and 'Goin' to California'.... 'What Is and What Should Never Be' is probably the sexiest song ever written (from the raunchiest album ever made) it just makes me *feel* the ebb and flow of great sex the moment I hear that base line.... But I think that aside, the melancholic 'Ramble On' is my favourite song. " How Many More Times are you gonna tell us that you've seen them in '75

"I both love them and find them massively overrated, it's a strange paradigm! I prefer Slow Dancer and Like I've Never Been Gone from Plant's 1st solo album to anything by Led Zeppelin. Page has done not much of any worth since Zeppelin split up, the Unledded project and tour with Plant notwithstanding. Even when LZ were at their peak he was a better composer, arranger and producer than he was guitarist. Live, he's always been sloppy at best. I do love All of My Love and Since I've Been Loving You though. Familiarity may have bred contempt with a lot of their other songs and I could probably do with going back and revisiting them with fresh ears. " I actually rather liked the Coverdale/Page project..... Pride and Joy and Take me for a little while are

"The guy above saying page wasn’t much of a guitarist - FYI, he was a session musician. When he started LZ, page was already a millionaire from playing guitar in recording sessions (late 60s). However you got one point right - not always great live and at live aid 85, page was absolutely embarrassing. could not believe what I was seeing. Best song? Depends, not sure if they’ve aged that well. " I didn't say he wasn't a good guitarist, just that he was a better composer, arranger and producer! I love Zeppelin but I'm not blinkered enough to see that what he could do on guitar in a studio, he often couldn't reproduce live (mainly because it was never just one guitar in the studio).

"Since I've been loving you. Minimal, but everything there. Definitely one of Jimmy's most astonishing solos. Such a brilliant song with groove. Has "cool" and "smooth" written all over it " I must confess I'm not the biggest Zep fan. I've always been drawn more to Deep Purple and Black Sabbath. But Jimmy Page is the best guitarist I've ever seen, anywhere. Not my favourite but definitely the best.

But honourable mentions to Mark Knopfler, Ritchie Blackmore and Alex Lifeson. And yes... A Sabbath edition would be ace

"Just one Zeppelin song, are you high? ....can I have two....or three even? Ok, what is and what should never be. It is a fantastic track, it gives you the light/shade, heavy/soft dynamic that Zeppelin were all about. Robert's vocals sore, that solo is just aces, the bassline and Bonzo's fills.....delightful. Fecksake though, what about heartbreaker, when the levee breaks, bring it on home, going to California, so so many immense tracks" Nearly impossible to choose just one

Now that I think on it I didn't even mention anything from I, III, IV, houses of the holy or physical graffiti. Special mention for hey hey what can I do, can't explain it but that song is feckin awesome

"Incredible band... defined my youth,, saw them live at every opportunity, , impossible to pick any individual tracks, because it all depends on my mood, and they made songs to suit all my moods.. gallows pole comes high on my list, but so many others too.. Thank good I lived when I did...!!! Can you imagine what the poor kids these days will have to treasure in 50 years...lol " Not at all jealous you were able to see them in their prime

"Since I’ve been loving you... I just love the blues undertones in this song. Plus the rhythm is damn good for sexy times ;-) " That is a beast of a track. Robert Plant had so much swagger!
