Well I started doing modern jive and ceroc dancing last year but have had some time away from it. In that time I have lost my dance partner to ballroom dancing. Now I would like to go back but trying to find a new dance partner. Who dances on here and what type of dancing do you do?

La la land

I go to dance class every week, it's a commercial style in heels. Would love to go back to tap classes, though ballet was my first love, injuries and age won't let me get back to it.

Argentinian Tango for 3 years.

Just about getting the hang of it now.

I'd also like to find a dance partner near me.

I used to do ballet, jazz, contemporary and music theatre but I have it up a while ago as it was hard to keep up if I didn't want to do it as a career. My best friend went down the career route though.

Folk.

Sounds boring. I find it sexy. A lot of tension there and sexual energy. Seducing. Pushing away. Jumping to the next partner. Legs entangled then keeping distance.

Not sure if someone gets me.

I've been doing modern jive /Ceroc for about fourteen years.

I rarely go now, I prefer 50's Rock 'n' Roll Jive and go to Rock 'n' Roll clubs more often.

I've never tried salsa or ballroom. I could probably do it but the music doesn't inspire me to dance so will probably never try.

I've had a few dance partners in the past and have taught jive.

I'm always up for a chat with anyone into dancing or looking for a local dance partner.

I also DJ at Rock n Roll and Motown/Soul/60's nights. I love the golden oldies.

Give it a go!

Ceroc is reasonably easy to learn. Most major towns have a class.

Pretty much all of the clubs I go to have more women then men also. A great place to meet new friends.

You do flatter me. I maintained the flexibility but not the co-ordination or balance unfortunately

I've done ceroc / modern jive for around 18 years... Also bit of salsa and lindy / swing (herrang)

I like dancing to banging tracks that have a groove. ... Fast and furious

Went to Southport weekender last month... Lot of fun

If you do Zumba but fancy a change then you would be good at Fitsteps. It's a dance class similar to zumba but it's all the dances from Strictly, the company is owned by 2 ex strictly come dancing professional dancers and there are lots of classes around just search online.

I went to these classes for years and I too love the Latin dances, also helps me to dance better on a night out my passion is now running.

I’m a big fan of (spectating only) traditional northern Finnish dancing.

There’s something about the sensuality of those Lapp dancers that really appeals to me. In an artistic sense only obviously.

Update us when you have joined, would love to hear if you enjoyed it. I hope you do, I still keep in touch with my Fitsteps family. X
