Taking inspiration from another thread. Which sport would you ban?

Don't have to give a reason.

And FYI, were only including human on human sports. No "sports" involving the harming of animals. I will allow horse racing though

I instantly went to Bullfighting.. but you stopped me in my tracks.

I'd ban anything but friendly competition to all U16s.

The pressure put on kids to succeed in professional sports such as football is horrendous. I'm seeing glimpses of it in some of the other teams my sons play against. Fortunately we have a relaxed parental group and two coaches who feel the same, its more about being part of a team.

Although the young Olympic gymnasts are absolutely incredible, all I can think of is the pressure and pain theyve been through to get to that level at such a tender age.

I had a taster of it with swimming, having never lost a race from age of 12, I started getting physically nauseous from the pressure I was putting on myself. I competed at County level and represented every school I went to, in front crawl, backstroke and butterfly.. and both relays.

It got to the point that I felt like I was about to throw up and would only get onto the block from the bathrooms, with a second or two to get on the block.

I think I'd ban kids from professional sport.

They need the time and space to enjoy other things in life and not be committed to one thing, just because they have a natural talent for it.

"Footbollocks. "

Perfect description of the game. Bollocks.

Over paid players, all actors rather than actually playing the game, bad referees and use of VAR, bad etiquette and role models in general, swearing all over the pitch and showing no respect to anyone, and can be a really boring game to watch 90% of the time.

I wouldn’t ban any. There are some sports that I don’t like but if others do then that’s fine, I don’t have to watch.

Well I would like to say greyhound racing but as it's has to be human to human I would say football as the sport itself had been ruined by drama queens who are paid far too much

I'd have to differentiate between a game and a sport. All games should be considered as games and not sport. Games are played by children, not adults. Sport if for adults.

If you play a game of something it's a game.

A game of chess, a game of dominoes, a game of darts, a game of football etc...

If it's a sport, it's not a game. You don't have a game of racing or a game of 110 meter hurdles etc...

If it's not a sport then it should be confined to school playgrounds and parks.

I’d ban the sport of ‘fab time wasting’ where someone agrees, often after multiple conversations, to meet then either doesn’t show or sends a tissue reason for failing to show.

How do you cope then with the title put forward by many people to describe Football as The Beautiful Game ??

Kind of contradicts your argument!

Horse racing and greyhound racing. It's not a sport when the participants have no choice in taking part and are then shot in the head when they've outgrown their usefulness.
