"Siren and I have just had a very in depth discussion about this type of art, and where she finds it exhilarating I tend to be of the opinion "wtf does a cow cut in half have to do with art?"... any slaughterhouse worker is an artist on that basis. Warhol is the same, I think his work is quite childish and anyone who knows photoshop can do what he did. Gimme a nice seascape of a ship in a storm any day of the week lol" This is why i may go look i love art .... and his take on art i find really sad and weird .. some of the things . The dots in lines i just cant get into that , But i need to look closer.. see for myself.

" What's with 100 million handmade ceramic sunflower seeds? Once you've seen one you've seen 'em all. And why did we have to buy 10 million of 'em, if we'd bought a million and put 'em on pallets nobody would've been any wiser. " Thats how art can work make you think what the hell is he thinking ,

If it helps the shark was washed ashore and the cow would have ended up burgers anywat

"Gotta say I don't think all modern art is pretentious shit. I loved the ship in a bottle on the fourth plinth at Trafalgar Square. It made me smile everytime I saw it and I also liked Anthony Gormleys' Event Horizon even if it was a bit sinister. The Weather Project at the Tate Modern was brilliant" Gormly is fab, one of my artistic heroes.

" Warhol is the same, I think his work is quite childish and anyone who knows photoshop can do what he did. " Course anyone can photoshop the inspiration from Wahol's art. But who would pay them millions? I love Monet and Van Gough but if I saw the Mona Lisa in person, I'd still want to slap her round the chops for being a miserable cow! I would love to be taken on a tour of the historical art rather than modern art. Tracey Emmin obviously copied my bedroom! I do enjoy art, however, I'm not a poetry fan snd struggle as I want to hang myself from the rafters when I read it, give me a classic book/play or ballet anyday! I have been to only a few galleries (I'm ashamed to say ) but would adore someone to take me to all the landmark galleries and have a personal expert on hand ......... any offers???

"What I don't understand is how everyday objects are art! Just because someone tells us it's art? Then we are all artists! Tracey Emin, Damian Hurst and the ilk are all pretentious pratts and looking down this thread, they have sucked quite a few in! Anyone remember the program where Ester Rantzen had a load of 6 year olds do random “modern Art” and presented it at a gallery as a new painter? How the critics all fawned over it and said how great it was? Flustered looks when they were told the truth because they knew they were found out! As far as I was told, art it creativity! Cutting a cow in half, making 10 million ceramic buttons (and not even yourself!) or a messed up bed is not art. If it is, we are all artists! Just because someone is prepared to pay a lot of money, it still doesn’t make it art! " Nail on head (no it's not an abstract conceptualisation of a man who walked under a ladder while a carpenter was fixing his guttering, it's just a saying)
