Get out in the Welsh air!!

Honestly. There are so many nature walks etc with beautiful scenery it’s a joy - especially now it’s getting colder and you can bundle up with a scarf!

I love a cosy scarf!

Talk to my wife and try to keep busy rather then let it take over and wallow.

Get a dog, seriously, so much love and entertainment. 24 hours a day.

Confiding in someone.

Either family, friend, doctor.

Even talking to a complete strange is beneficial - completely unbiased opinion.

Sleep, fresh air, exercise, adequate nutrition. Making sure my physical needs are met and I'm comfortable.

Doing nice or fulfilling things for myself.

Trying to resolve the things that make me feel bad.

Positive self talk, self compassion, meditation, distraction.

Talking to someone qualified.

Riding it out until it goes away.

Arse end of the universe

If I feel crap I take the dog out for a walk, rain or shine, just get going, sometimes via the pub but I get out the house, otherwise I will sit all day and mope.

I know most say it's good to talk but not everyone has someone to talk too, but a walk or generally doing something in the fresh air works wonders.

Usually go for a drive and blast out music, or a brisk walk with my headphones in, either way music has saved my life on more than 1 ocasion

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

Moment by moment.

Hide.

Talk.

Socialise, if I still can.

Keep busy, when I can.

Avoid situations that might spark a panic attack.

If I can't shake it off then I will get antidepressants and find the money to go back to therapy.

I don't think I have an illness. I just feel down sometimes and there's been a lot going on in my life recently.

I've been thinking about it over the weekend and thinking what others think of me and its got me down.

Gleam Street

Take a day of quiet and read myself into a new world. Then I get out with the dogs into the park and laugh myself silly at the two of them being a pair of lunatics.

I do need that little space to myself, but knowing that I'm responsible for their wellbeing is a massive help to me.

Keep myself away from other people - not too difficult for me apart from at work where I manage to maintain a certain facade. Luckily there’s always some drama which means no one notices me with my head down. I really don’t do well sharing inner most thoughts and worries with others. I’ve seen a therapist but it made feel extremely uncomfortable and caused me even more stress. So I deal with it my own way.

As so many people have already suggested:

Talk to someone. The old adage is true “a problem shared is a problem halved” - talking really does help; family, friend or a stranger.

Get outside and do something, anything. Go for a walk, go for a drive, play sport, go bird watching. The more you are cooped up at home the more your brain focuses on the negativity, give your brain something different to focus on.

Personally, when I have a bad day I feel so useless and worthless. I found a coping mechanism for me was to do something productive; washing, ironing, cleaning, mowing the lawn, sweeping the drive, going to an old folks home and playing chess in silence ... anything that made me feel like I had a value to someone. Even if it was just doing the washing and ironing, I knew I had done something productive for someone else that day. It was a little win but it was a win and that is all I needed to get to the end of the day.

Worrying about what others think of you is most probably what’s causing you the most stress and confusion. Anyone who is worth the effort won’t think any differently of you if your going through any sort of issues

I'm fortunate, however bad things seem, I just need a cwtch with my daughter and to spend some time being silly with her and it all fades. Also I find being productive, starting something I've been putting off or talking to my bestie helps

If I'm feeling down I usually go to the gym, put my headphones on, make a playlist of my fave tunes and zone out while I pump some weights. It usually helps.

If there is a clear issue and I can solve then I start chipping away at it. If it can’t be done in one go then I know I have at least started.

If it’s something that can’t be solved I try not to wallow in it and divert myself with something.

I have a group of good solid friends and family that helped me during a very tough time. They are there when I need them and vice versa.

"How do you cope with it? "

10 mins meditation every day (I use a free app called “insight timer” start with the guided meditations.

20 mins exercise every day, 3 days a week do some cardio exercise that will increase your heart rate, the other days do yoga (look up “man flow yoga” on YouTube).

Sauna 20 mins 3 x per week,

I used to suffer with depression really badly, but have found this program is better than any antidepressant I ever took. But you have to do it religiously even when you do t feel like it. (Especially when you don’t feel like it)

Hope things improve soon.

Take care dude.

Ditto me too, at night you can't stop your brain in the day you can't be bothered to think so just sleep and do nothing.

Felt like this for months and even with doctors help still the same.
