I've just read that always are changing its packaging, so it becomes inclusive.

Yet the metro are running the story and we are not allowed to say anything that would harm or upset the Lgbt community.

I'm actually lost for word's as to why sanitary products would be used by none fully transgender. Yet when are no offence, only thing that normally doesn't change is the voice.

Could someone please make me look less thick on how this as come about.

It's the removal of the Venus symbol. Transmen who haven't fully transitioned may still need to use the products.

I don't see why it's a considered a big deal or PC gone mad. Brands change their packaging all the time. This is less cynical than turning everything into a Gay Pride rainbow with nothing LGBTQ+ friendly about the product or the company.

Can't say I've ever noticed the logo. I just pick up a pack & fling them in trolley, use when needed.

There is a growing "thing" to turn everything to a neutral instead of gender based but for things like this why bother.

Your biology doesn't give a monkeys what's on the product,it's color nor what you dress or identify as.

You don't need to explain why your buying them to staff or anyone else. Regardless of what you look like.

They're for practicalities. Period.

I'm a cis woman and I'm utterly unthreatened by trans people. It takes nothing away from my identity.

There are more cis-women than there will ever be trans-women.

Mumsnet is a bit abusive towards what I asked. I didn't disrespect the lgbt or transgender in asking.

Looking at other newspapers it's becoming very less understanding in some comments.

The story is clear that two people made a complaint about the use of the Venus sign. That came from a view that some won't identify with the Venus sign and could feel the product is excluding them.

That made Proctor and Gamble's Always team consider their packaging and decide to make the change.

My view, as described, is that packaging changes all the time and it's an easy trans-inclusion win. I don't see saying that as abuse but if you meant you wanted to understand something else then I'm not sure what I, or anyone else, could have responded that you would accept as in the spirit of your thread.

Exactly this. It's still the exact same product and does the same thing, so what's the problem with allowing non binary people and trans men who still have periods to feel less awful when they have to buy them?

It's almost as if the ads aren't meant for us.

I never did manage to paraglide or any of the other things I was supposed to be able to do using particular brands. Plus, I never managed to produce blue menstrual blood.

Their physical bodies at birth are female but they feel male, some have surgery to fully transition some don't

If they still have a uterus they'll still need hygiene products.

The product itself is the same so a logo change is nothing to get all wound up over IMHO.

I do get that I'm as far away as possible from the product demographic but...

If it makes a single person feel a tiny bit more included, and doesn't actively hurt anyone, then how can it possibly be a bad thing?

Anyone who previously used the product still can, so I can't figure out who loses from this.

Genuinely not a criticism of anyone who has posted previously-I just don't get how there is any negative to this.

Honestly I couldn't give a shit, they can sell them in paper bags if they like, as long as I can still buy them. I really can't see any negatives to them changing the packaging. Its inconsequential to most but may have a positive impact on some.
