No not a spit roast you filthy lot

I woke up ridiculously early for a Sunday and need to make a spectacular lunch today.

I think I'm going to do a roast - but I'm not sure which one

What is your best Sunday food?

Gotta be a rib of beef for me. It’s worth the extra few quid that it costs for the succulent flavour.

Masked and Distant

Cant beat a roast pork crackling joint.

With roasted veggies, (carrots, shallots, parsnips)

Roast potatoes (crispy on the outside, fluffy in the middle)

Nice creamy mash (complete with cheddar cheese).

Home made yorkshire pudsey.

Onion gravy.

Yummy

Anchovies? Ooh I've never tried that. How do you incorporate them with the lamb? I can imagine the flavours really working together

I so want a roast, but after the bristol social im in a fragile state to cook. However, it would have to be a beef roast, nice crispy potatoes, all fresh veg, mushy peas and Yorkshires with gravy from the beef juices.

Our family favourite is pork with loads of crackling.

Yorkies... Jaynes are fantastic.

Roasties, in goose fat obvs.

My mash, creamy but thick.

Sprouts and carrots.

Roast parsnips.

Stuffing balls.

And, sweet potato chunks, broccoli and cauli florets, all covered in a rich, creamy thick cheese sauce.

Finished off with Jaynes gravy, and home-made apple sauce.
