In regards to a smell it is coffee, but that feeling you describe of freshly laundered sheets, the smell and crispness... that is just the best

Ylang ylang oil.

Certain spices or mixes of them. Hence the weakness for a fragrance with those notes too.

Freshly cut grass.

Cherries and citrusy fruits.

That smell of the Summer rain. Intoxicating.

You may be right, KM. Waitrose has Wright's Traditional Soap, with coal tar fragrance. This is not how I remember it being described but as search produces this as coal tar soap.
