Mocha, chocca, frappe horror.

Am I the only one often a bit shy in a coffee bar?

So much choice..

It has replaced the tradition of daytime drinking & all the ex smokers are now addicted to coffee.

Latte. Like come on an excuse for a milk filled cup with a drop of coffee. What’s wrong with just a cup of coffee.

You don’t see all you posh folk popping into the local tea room asking for a double shot tea with a drop of caramel and a big dollop of cream on top

Like my friend who queried the soup d'jour. "We had that yesterday" she proudly announced.

Before I learned the nuances, I found the drink I'd most likely drink and stuck to it. Still largely true.

In a regular place, filter is cheaper and not much good. (in fancy places, filter of various types is the premier option)

In most places, order an Americano with milk, latte or cappuccino if you want milk. Espresso, short black, long black, or Americano without milk if you want it black.

If you want a stronger milky coffee and/or are more confident about the quality, flat white.

Cold brew is usually black and usually tastes nicer (but is cold. Don't confuse with ice coffee)

In top tier places, filter is fantastic, but will be the priciest option.

There. Sorted.

One, you don't have to drink it. But two, if you want to, message me: there's coffee that tastes as good as or better than the smell.
