Try looking for adult education classes in your area. I did a British sign language course. Met a few people, had a laugh and learned something useful as well.

yes courses are the way to go...ive met tons of lovely friends doing courses over the years...and you can do something you always dreamed of doing at the same time.

With your wonderful tatoos as well, how about going along to a tatoo convention or joining a website/forum with other interests you have?

a Primark shoebox in Leicester

Evening classes.

Walking clubs.

Check the monthly council rag for various social groups... you'll find ones which visit different pubs, historical buildings, country walks, city walks and so on.

Drama group.

Voluntary work - such as groups which go and clean up parks or create community areas.

(She/ her) in Sensualityland

Was also going to suggest voluntary sector, there are loads of opportunities of working with/ supporting people of any age, young and old. Could be by helping out in one of their shops or with social events. And it is really good fun, you meet new people and it makes you feel good. Best of luck

You could if you were up for it join the TA which would pay you.

You could do some voluntary work.

You could do an evening class.

There are a lot of alternatives out there but you need to work out how much free time you can spare and what work commitments will impact on anything new.

Newcastle and Gateshead

salsa nights are always fun and a good laugh... i went to a few and met some lovely people...

it really depends on what you are into i suppose... it depends on how my brain you want to use.. i actually fancy doing an evening course... deciding between first aid, massage, or sign language...

I kept dipping in and out of the salsa night as it was a bit hot for me.
