Kik cam has gone anyone know why ?

There was a recent news article regarding this. Bank robbers were using the feature to communicate with each other while robbing banks - police couldn’t track who they were as kik doesn’t require your phone number.

To compromise, they took away the video chat feature (which is what the bank robbers were mainly using)

I don't use kik, so no idea but there has been a lot of speculation about it closing so it could be to do with that.
