I think its the prevailing attitude towards women. Most of us women are interested in meeting on mutual terms, we understand that respect goes both ways and hope that men don't think we're due any less respect because we're openly promiscuous. I know that loads of men don't think that way and neither do plenty of women so they'll continue to advise other blokes to show some respect

It's just one of those phrases from the hand book of genetic FAB verification phrases, isn't it? I think it's often just generic phrase fodder to fill the void. I don't think people put much thought into it when they put it on a veri. Personally its just another piece of FAB cringe to me. Sure common human decency and respect are an unwritten base level.

Also the cynic in me also wonders if it's more aim at being a self advertising piece of virtue signalling for the writer than it is about the subject?

However (my personal cringe and cynicism aside) I think some people are being a bit harsh on here. Like I said I think often it's just a generic phrase put on with pure good intention and aiming to say something nice.

I think that’s an equitable point; Certainly it’s easy to jest (as I have) about the cliched nature of the phrase in question, but it may well have been ultimately implied with good intent.

I think it's supposed to be more to do with verifying people as genuine and their personality, but I do think graphic content is quite disrespectful and yes its probably the writer trying to big themselves up
