I had a staff for 13 years and he was family. Just loved that dog and I know he did us.

He was loving, loyal, protective and funny. A great character.

If I was to have another dog I'd go for a staff.

What do you have and would you have the same breed again?

He has been a fairy, xmas elf, reindeer and other things lol when he was younger and my kids were younger they loved dressing him up and taking him out for walks and enter him in competitions. My youngest also used him to practice doing her school tie on, so she would be able to do it herself

Hiding in the shadows

Through my previous job, I've always had big dogs for security.

Getting a Chihuahua 2½yrs, for my son was a bit of a change!

Who'd have though something so teeny would be such hard work?!

Total attention whore, complete diva, totally pampered, mad as a box of frogs.

Love her to bits, she's stole my heart.

I'm definitely a small dog convert now

English Bull Terrier.

Was just Bull Terrier, but since the man who made the Bull Terrier went on to Make the Staff, most EBT owners just call them that, EBT.

If you are going to get one, do your research, they have a massive problem with hips.

I would import one from Germany, bit more bitey but less health problems

I have a Bullmastiff...big, lazy, stubborn oaf of a dog. He's my third mastiff and I'd definitely have more.

I would have a staffy any time though, they're wonderful dogs. I will no doubt end up rescuing a staffy when i'm in a position to be able to.

I have a heinz variety. He looks like the dog in A dog’s Way home so i suspect he may be a Beagle/Alsation mix.

He follows me everywhere. He’s brilliant with my youngest who has ASD and he’s just fun. He has always been nervy though (even though had from a puppy) which makes him a NIGHTMARE around other dogs. I have to keep him on the lead always otherwise he’d terrorize them all.

I’d totally have another like him though.

I had a Staffordshire terrier up until he passed away last year, he was my best friend and we definitely had a connection and it broke my heart when he passed away, i would love another one but feel I would compare them and as I had the best dog in the world it seems unfair to the new dog.

Staffs are amazing.

I have a bulldog a mastiff and a whippet

The Bulldog is four years past his sell by date and aside from the odd back leg collapse he’s still doing well. (Although he’s highly medicated)

He has been my constant and I love him to bits. When he goes I will have to take two weeks off work to mourn him.

I’m not sure I would have another Bulldog as to me he’s a one off and it would be unfair to compare with any new one.

So I would probably go for a Vizla next.

I grew up with Bullmastiffs, they are still my favourite breed. Aside from liking how they look, they also have strong characters - they can be affectionate, very comical or both. They look meaner than they actually are. If I was ever able to have dogs, it would be them

Has his own character and bossy with it .

We also have a russian tortoise now.

Was found in the gully at a busy roadside, bus wheels just missed him.

He would have been road kill if left, but was brought home.

Hes sun bathing under lamp at moment.
