I live in a pub so started to drink most nights. Loving it and sadly can see want I must have looked like to others after sitting downstairs last night with juice

Well done! I have to do this occasionally but however much you struggle the benefits at the end will be worth the struggles and more! Whenever i do it i feel amazing at the end of the month, mental health is always better, body feels and looks better and its noticeable and just generally happier.

Good for you

So many of us including myself are in a habit of getting in from work and using alcohol to 'relax'

Myself included - I usually only have a couple of glasses of wine but it becomes a habit and I sometimes drink too much on a school night - it makes life torturous the next day

I have periods of abstinence and always feel amazing after a week or so.

Then boredom gets me in the end usually

Very true. I've moved into a pub so I was going downstairs most nights and drinking. All was out of boredom and to fit in with others

I used to skydive for a hobby , every time I got in that plane I was sh****g myself .moral of that is that it's normal to be a bit scared. good luck to you and remember women are far braver than us guys !
