It's not a secret tbh. Uploading pictures online is never going to be risk free. Do so at your own risk, which you need to consider yourself.

Why we only have one picture on public profile and not a particular exciting one.

Then you get the no pics no meet brigade.

Think FAB is the only site that I know doesn't make any effort to protect pictures. I guess they see it as your risk

It's in the FAQs. It is your risk... On any site. Any protection can be circumvented.

I have plenty of pictures but hide anything identifying. There are ways and ways.

Can be circumvented agreed, but least make an effort lol.

Watermarks can be erased if people are prepared to put in the effort.

It offers a false sense of security.

If it's online, then it's at risk. End of, really.

You take pics off the site and send them to your friends?

Anything you put online should be considered public, no matter where you put them, just the way it is, and there's absolutely nothing fab can or could do to stop people downloading images.

No but it could be made more difficult for the average joe.

You can disable the ability to download, but it can still be snatched up through the code.

Screenshotting is also an option, though it often greatly diminishes the quality.

I agree with you though, once it's online, it pretty much exists forever and is free game for anyone who gains access to it.

They are being honest, no site can ever stop people downloading pictures. If it's on the internet everybody can download it. Nothing can be done to stop it.

The Sydney University disclaimer stops it.

Oh yes, I forgot about that... but it only really works when it is more than 87% of your profile

space eater only, how many read terms & condition when they signed on fab? Regardless all accepted, if fab say you agreed the condition which allows them to share information with others, what would you do?
