However, Babs is right. The clique only exists as a concept, people can claim to be in or out of the clique, but it doesn't exist in the real world.

Also people knowing each other well and interacting primarily with their close friends isn’t actually a clique, is it? There’s a difference between being close with people you know well and deliberately excluding people.

I thought the clique was more a way of thinking and shutting down conversation or challenge than a friend group....?
