"Go for it, but don't get caught It's in both of your interests to keep it private. I'm surprised companies can still have a say on what you do in your personal life. I assume they wouldn't be happy if they knew you were on here then?"

"I wouldn’t get fired for it. How long left on her internship?" 3 months but she thinks she is moving overseas after. So she sees it as a short term fling for some fun - we do get on professionally/personally very well.

"Go for it, it's only a job after all. Just kidding depends how much you value your job, and can you be sure if caught she will not put all the on blame you, to save herself." Good points!

"So, work has made it clear in our code of conduct (rightfully so) that relationships at work are frowned upon, especially so with our interns. Who, as you can imagine, are mostly younger males/females seeking work experience. However, one of the interns (female, 25, and very hot) has recently made it very clear to me that she is keen to hook up - I would have never approached her for fear of being utterly inappropriate. I’m not her boss nor have any say on future recruitment, we just work in adjacent areas. So, any advice from the Fab crowd? Should I steer clear as I’m playing with fire? Or dive in and enjoy ourselves noting the risk (I’d undoubtedly get fired if caught)? Anyone been in a similar situation? " if you fall out you have to continue working together and at ages 25 and 42 that can easily happen

"Is a “hook up” really worth risking your job for? If you value your employment don’t do it, hook ups come and go, not worth the potential hassle. " And if the company has a specific policy for this situation, stick to it. It'll only take one little thing to go wrong for it to cost you your job.

The age difference, your position of responsibility in the company, the attitude of the boss ..... do you feel lucky punk? Let it build for 3 months then pursue it when she leaves if you both want.

"I mention this on every thread like this. Similar situation but both fully employed by Co in same department. They start “dating” and it goes well for a month. She wanted more, he didn’t and she turned into Glen Close in the workplace. She basically had a stand up row in front of everyone in our department with him, then started telling line manager he was harrassing her. He wasn’t. He snapped one day and basically did the same thing she did but he was seen as being physically aggressive and was escorted from the premises by security, never to return. She had already told her secretary (who told us) it was deliberate, she had been baiting him to lose his temper. He never got his job back and she moved companies shortly after. It’s just not worth it. Not for a shag. " thats really devious and unfair

Perhaps there is an agenda behind this, I sincerely don’t believe there is, but best not to risk it.
