Hidden or rediscovered talents

So my recent partnering with the lovely spurs to sketch people has had me rediscover a long dormant talent that I had when younger and had drifted away from. Have any of you rediscovered any talents you had but neglected to make use of or discovered you were really good at something and never suspected?

Redditch

I've got back into drumming over the summer, and realised I'm better than a lot you see on the local live circuit.

Just a shame the group didn't last....

I have gone back to some writing. There is a particular genre I am hoping to be brave enough to try. Used to enjoy it and it was essential part of my first job.

The biggest value is though the therapeutic effect.

Is it a talent? Used to be. But now it's just good to use that not for 'results' this time, but to feel good.

On a mooch

A talent you’ve hidden too long, your good at it, keep it up

For me my old talent is definitely not going to be making a reappearance..... gymnastics !!

These bones just aren’t built for it anymore. Plus the damn boobs would just get in the way

I'd gladly offer support.

Fab certainly brought out a particularly writing style I didn't know I even had!

Classical guitar and piano. Get along nicely until I have to stop for a while. Then I have to start all over again from the beginner stages.

I think sometimes we just need to see ourselves through lense of other people to remind ourselves of our talents, or awake new ones.

Somewhere

I've recently started playing the violin again.

I played when I was much younger and loved it and I'm not as good as I was back then but I try and practice as often as I can.

I was one for little smoker tricks when I was younger and just remembered this weekend I could blow smoke rings.

Also I remembered I could play Thin Lizzys Emerald on guitar

The violin is very hard and more difficult to maintain at a good level than say, a guitar. I really should start playing the latter again...

Singing & playing the piano.

I used to do both as a child all the time, not so much as an adult but would love to get back into it!

You are the spitting image of one of my favourite singers from a band called Vodun. I’m absolutely smitten by her voice lol

Not so much hidden or rediscovered but every so often I remember I am capable of writing poetry and songs, then promptly do nothing about using the talent.

I've discovered that i'm pretty good at dancing (well, nobody has thrown anything at me on stage yet, so I can't be that bad )

I always refused to go to dancing lessons when I was a kid because I was a tomboy and more interested in climbing trees!

I played darts as a kid up until early 20s, then gave it up for 10+ years, then about 4 years ago i discovered i could still throw a bit, so now i practice and play regularly to make up for lost time.

Writing and singing. Not new, but I was astonished to find that I'm good at weight lifting, I always assumed I was rubbish at anything physical.
