How would I get clothes to fit? How would I shop discretely for these?

Ask your mate what he would like you to wear for him. That could be a fun session describing it and watching his reaction.

Measure yourself then measure clothes in shops to see what would fit. Women's dress sizes are bullshit. They are different in different shops.

Order online and return whatever doesn't fit.
