Solihull

I remember sitting at the cinema as a kid waiting for Star Wars to come on and then the story came onto the screen and started scrolling and then the shadow of the craft darkening the screen and flying overhead.

"A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away"

What film memories stick in your mind ?

Jaws, when the diver was under the boat inspecting it and the face of the dead person suddenly appears in the hole in the hull

Somewhere In The Ether…

"Jaws, when the diver was under the boat inspecting it and the face of the dead person suddenly appears in the hole in the hull "

I remember almost shitting myself the first time I watched that scene

A scene which always sticks in my mind is when Dorothy enters Oz in The Wizard Of Oz and the film changes from black and white to full glorious colour.

The timing and build up to the jaws scene was perfect wasn't it.

Whenever I drive through a pay booth on the M6 Toll I think about Sonny Corleone at a booth on the Jones Beach Causeway.

E.T, all of it seen it thousands.

Loads of scenes in that film come to mind but the scene where E.T is being shocked and seeing Gertie sat on the bed crying and jumping with every shock, that affected me as a kid, still breaks my heart now lol.

Then the hugging scene where he is giving Elliot a hug "ouch" with his finger. Then the rainbow in the sky at the end when he is flying home.

Heartbroken!

The spy who loved me scene where bonds being chased on skis and goes off the cliff to certainly fall to his death.

There's a pause

And then a Union Jack parachute opens and people in the cinema actually started to cheer !

Brilliant

The scene in Goodfella's when they are sitting having a laugh, Joe Pesci flips and says "I'm funny? Funny how? Do I fucking amuse you?......."

Propper nut job! Brilliant scene and film.

That scene was improvised and wasn't supposed to be in the film so the reaction by Ray Liotta makes it even better, as he hasn't a clue what's going on.
