Hillside desolate

So I saw a thread earlier about clowns and how scary they were. I went to the circus and I thought the l the clown was hilarious, I love those guys. But I'm scared of butterflies, and one of my friends is scared of balloons

What are your irrational fears?

Is it the fear of pain from the needles, or just the thought of them in general? And is it only needles that are generally jabbed into you for blood tests etc or does it include sewing needles too?

the questions are icky.

It's the irregular intrusion into my skin. Splinters are the same. Rusty nails etc worse.

I guess that's a slight upside to it, but still not nice. I think the last time I had to have one was when was about 9 and I stood on a rusty nail that went into my foot. The needle was worse than the nail!

"Needles. "

Same here until back in 1998 and 2015 when in each case, I'd Eye Surgery, done under Local Anesthesic, so I was awake throughout. Needles were inserted through the side of the eye.

The thought of it was scary to be honest but reality is it's totally painless.

Cured me of needle phobia.

Hospitals.

I feel sick just driving past .

If I have to go in for an appointment or to visit I don't breathe through my nose.

I start to itch and feel trapped.

Once I'm done even just visiting I need to rush home, clothes straight in the washing machine and scrub in the shower.

Even when my mum was very ill I struggled if someone came to see me after they had been in . If they wanted to hug me or sit down on the sofa. When they left I sprayed the sofa and went for a shower.

When I had my son's I had a 4 hour discharge on my birthing plans. With my 2nd we left the hospital at midnight as I refused to stay over.

When I was ill a few years back I kept self discharging and agreeing to go back as a day patient the next day.

It's now on my notes that I have this fear.

The GP is trying to find ways to help but last time I tried to go to work straight from an appointment I just sobbed in the car at the thought and ended up going home first

It's quite extreme

I coped when my son broke his arm we were there for hours my protective maternal instincts took over. However as soon as he was settled at home I retreated to my usual habits of all the clothes in the wash and straight into the shower.

Raw meat, rotten fruit I can't have any thing to do with either and vegetables ... it's related to corpses although never seen a corpse that is why it's irrational

Also holes! In any thing, just how it looks can make me want to throw up! It's visual though, so I think it's not so much a fear but a general disgust of anything with holes in. I found out it's an actual thing though, called trypophobia.

I used to have a few, including the dark and being on my own but after my mum died I stopped being bothered so much by anything. No idea why?!

"Spiders defintely!

Please don't think I'm weird!

I've heard of Trypophobia before, I learned about it after seeing it on American Horror Story:Cult. You probably shouldn't watch that "

Thanks for the warning, will steer clear

"Whales

Weirdo

I wonder if he meant Wales because tbf that's a pretty scary place.

I didn't. I meant whales. However whales IN Wales might be even more scary

(it's actually a scale thing. My brain struggles to process how something that size can be alive and it properly creeps me out if I think about it) "

I get you, I want to go whale watching,in a big boat, but the thought of maybe being in the water with one around can make me hyperventilate.
