I love Caravaggios art, unique it his use of lighting & shadows. Funny too, use to take pre-payment on his Church commissions, would then paint a biblical scene in too graphic a detail to hang in a church, who would then refuse it, he’d them go on to sell his painting anyway, effectively getting paid twice.

Aside from that, Basquiat is supreme

The old masters will always reign supreme some from the medievil period especially portraits then painters like Caravaggio, I like old dutch masters to, The laughing cavalier by frans hals Is a favourite of mine, but the list can go on from there up to modern times depending on detail and taste.
