It's Friday, hurrah , I have the day off , double hurrah , I've finished my diy project for the day , triple biodegradable gallons from the ceiling hurrah .

I was chatting with a chum today , she was a little glum that she like me is of a certain age .

I think we should celebrate our maturity , were all looking rather spiffing .

I (Jenny) turned 40 this year. I tried my hardest to celebrate the hell out of it. Started with a Take That concert in May and finished with a friends weekend away the end of July! Just a shame during those months no extra playing was done.... I was too busy

When I get down about being 40, I imagine my 80 year old self looking back at my 40 year old self and thinking "god you look fucking young" lol. It works every time.

Yep, I echo my delicious OH's comment.

It's not a bad age to be, granted I couldn't run two miles as quickly as I used to and the 90 hour working week is a regular thing as responsibilities probably peak at this age, but this will tail off as I get older which gives something to look forward to!

Plus sexually an all-night play-fest marathon isn't a problem provided I've not came off the back of working 20 days plus solid ha...Yet I find I can acquire and enjoy that mental connection much more easily?
