Fire in the Night is a gripping account of the Piper Alpha disaster. It mixes interviews with very realistic dramatic reconstructions and video shot from rescue ships.

Spoiler alert: You will get a lump in your throat as you watch.

Oh my god, making a murderer, best doc ever, so clearly a stitch up but just highlights the corruption of law in America, due to their state system. Both should be freed immediately. Its heartbreaking

Two more I've thought of:

"This is Anvil" about the band that ALMOST were the biggest metal band on the planet. It's very human and surprisingly moving.

"The House I Live In" about America's so-called War on Drugs and some of the consequences of - and perhaps less-than-noble motivations for the maintenance of - that. It's quite difficult to watch but sometimes the most important things are.

"There's a good on Netflix about flat-earthers. That's worth a watch. "

That’s on my list. Looks equally hilarious and kinda scary that people can be so dumb.

Fyre is excellent too - about the guy who tried to do the high end festival for all the rich kids, but was an absolute disaster.

If you like the crime docs like Making of a Murderer, American Vandal is a great spoof of the genre.

The cove

This is another

In Taiji, Japan, local fishermen hide a gruesome secret: the capture and slaughter of dolphins. Activist Ric O'Barry, who trained dolphins for the "Flipper" TV series, joins forces with filmmaker Louis Psihoyos and the Ocean Preservation Society to expose the brutal practice, risking life and limb in the process.

On a slightly more cheerful tone, Pet fooled

Depends really i guess on your interests. Some good ones i have watched are

The 24 Hour War - About the battle between Ford and Ferrai during the 60's at Le Mans

TT Closer to the edge - About the 2010 Isle Of Man TT, mainly following Guy Martin, Ian Hutchinson, Connor Cummings and John Mcguiness.

Road - In a similar vain to closer to the edge but covers the Dunlop Family. Mainly Micheal and William and goes into the familys history at the TT and Irish Road racing in general. Sadly William was killed himself in an accident in a road race in 2018

The Vietnam War: A film by Ken Burns and Lynn Novick -- An extremely long doc series about 2 hours an episode but covers the history of the Vietnam war from 1958 to 1973. Has some extremely graphic footage though

Blackfish - Doc about Tilikum the Orca who killed 3 people while in captivity at SeaWorld.

Restrepo/Korengal - The film explores the year that Junger and Hetherington spent in Afghanistan on assignment for Vanity Fair, embedded with the Second Platoon, B Company, 2nd Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team of the U.S. Army in the Korangal Valley. The 2nd Platoon is depicted defending the outpost named after a platoon medic who was killed earlier in the campaign, PFC Juan Sebastián Restrepo, a Colombian-born naturalized U.S. citizen. Korengal is the sequal to Restrepo

"Garbage Warrior"

About an eco-architect that builds houses out of glass bottles, discarded car tyres and stuff most people throw away. Some of his structures are stunning. He's been doing it since the 60s & it's about how he rises above the red tape & is now gaining recognition, after so long.
