Posting Style

I've not been around for a few days, Retweet has had free reign over the account but a lot of people have assumed it's me (I'm not sure if I should be offended, he posts way weirder things than me!). Anyway, it amused us and got us thinking.

Do you think you have a style of posting? Would you be able to work out who posted what if you couldn't see their names? Who would you recognise and why?

I think I definitely have a style.....quite what it is I,wouldn't know....but I'd hint at possibly being...piss taking...sarcastic...and not at all serious...

I think that I'm clever and irreverent.

In reality, I'm probably just annoying

I think my posting style is fairly recognisable - an imposter would be spotted easily methinks

Mine are normally riddled with sarcasm, emojis, and spelling mistakes due to my excitement at posting said sarcasm and a lack of proof reading

Notts/Derby

Yep, we both have different styles.

Ms H tends to be short & sweet. Mine are usually longer & more detailed.

I have a definite style but don’t think anyone would notice if it changed.

Your acerbic wit and directness are instantly recognisable

I don't post that often, so I don't think I have a style

I actually did assume it was you because the posts seemed like things you would say.

Me and Ash have very different characters and temperaments, that is the main reason we use separate accounts to post. If I do post using our couples account I'm a lot more careful about I say and how I say it.

I don’t think people would notice unless it was overrun by someone who puts everything out there

.

There are quite a few posters I'd recognise - I'm wary of saying how in case it comes across as bitchy. Especially if I saw interactions on a thread, with some it would be *very* easy.

Yes but I thought you were being ironic or something.

Yes. When I reappeared a while ago on this name, people very quickly spotted who I was. Apparently I have very clear idiosyncrasies.

*gallic shrug*

I do that too. Some people I can tell who they are.

Preston

There are quite a few forumites whose posts are very easily identifiable. It does make me laugh when they post from a second profile thinking no one would realise it’s them. Swing’s posts on the rant thread have been mistaken for mine on numerous occasions. That’s quite funny because I rarely get involved with the thread unless I’m ranting

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I have been able to identify people when they have returned just by posting style. I got one wrong so don't call them out now. (I'm still not convinced I did get it wrong. You know who you are!)

My style is definitely different to the other Licketysplits' (too many of us).

I have to say, when Retweet reappeared on fab after a year apart I knew it was him in one post. He's still shocked by that now
