Any tattoo regrets? We both have several and although they may not be to everyone’s taste we’re happy with then. Do you have any tattoo regrets?

None at all. Got my first at 27, will die one day with all of them, and more to come.

I’ve got a female friend who has a very dated back piece x

She went to a local recommended tattooist who sympathetically and skill fully changed it and covered it up into a thing of wonder x

So I think if you have a regrettable tattoo then with a little imagine it can become something else wonderful x

Hiding in the shadows

I had one done on my left shoulder, when my Eldest was born.

I didn't regret it, as it had meaning, was our starsigns intertwined.

But it didn't look how I'd expected it too, and I wasn't happy

Originally, my Phoenix was supposed to be 8x6" to cover it.

I may have got carried away

The one on my shoulder I had done as a teenager. I got that covered a couple of years ago. The one on my wrist, I thought I was doing the right thing getting it. It doesn't mean much to anyone else but people always question it

Yeah same. Thank god mine's are pretty small and coverable, but I had them done before I was even 18 and they're so clichéd and shit. I can't really be bothered having them covered though.

I’m pretty heavily tattooed and love virtually all of them.. I did rush into a rubbish on which is unfortunately also on my front/shoulder which I’ve had some laser work done on. Eventually it’ll be light enough to be reworked but for now I just ignore it.

On women no matter how artistic or good they are for me they take away the feminine side from them

Not personally, but a mate had his partners name tattooed on his back before he asked her to marry him. Sadly things didn't work out for them & they went their separate ways. He regretted that tattoo & even the cover-up as it was always a reminder.

No regrets whatsoever. I will get one that I'm less keen on covered/changed. I am eternally grateful that I didn't get one with my less than human ex-fiance!! But I'm happy with what I do have

I had a nautical star on my elbow that was done pretty badly. Never really regretted it but never really liked it either so eventually got it covered with what is now a full sleeve.

Nope..love them because thru them I tell my story...similar to my writing..they are my illustrations of my life...next one booked of a writing quill with a very personal quote written by myself..to remind me of the power of words

I don't regret mine but they were done when I was 19 and tribal was all the rage. I'm planning on having some cover ups with proper artwork now

The one on my right foot.

The sentiment behind it still remains but it wasn't done well and looks pretty faded now.

. I'd like it covered up but not sure what with
