Ultimate Comfort Food

Jump to newest

By (user no longer on site) OP

It's been a weird old week, and I'm not looking forward to work tomorrow, so the ultimate comfort food dinner it is....

Cauliflower and broccoli cheese with crunchy chips, some jaffa cakes and a mini bottle of champers.

What's your go to comfort food to make any day feel better?

Poutine. Cheese on toast. Some form of carb with cheese. When I really need comfort food I make my grandma's chicken noodle soup with matzah balls. There's nothing a bowl of that can't solve.

All my comfort foods are the winter stodgy classics like pie, mash and peas, stew and dumplings, shepherd's pie, apple crumble and custard, macaroni cheese with sausages and red sauce or if really down I ask my mam to whip up some soup or a roast dinner.

Chicken Tikka Masalla

Sweet things taste best on a Sunday night. Certainly after a roast dinner.

I think it's to do with the salt used in the cooking

I think you have to factor in the time spent cleaning up as that can be not very comforting at all, although the cooking can be.

My special beans on toast take some beating for speed, taste and ease of cleaning up after.
