Just been laid off from my job

There is other firms I can work for but I really don't like my job anymore.

Should I just get a job I hate to keep the money coming in.

Or get in my shed and try and make a living out of my wood turnings.

Really don't know what to do

Could you afford to possibly not make any or much money for a while?

Perhaps there's an opportunity to go part time, and give the wood turning a go whilst still having a stable (if reduced) income?

"Could you afford to possibly not make any or much money for a while?"

That's my problem I'm a bit skint

Haven't worked for 2 weeks now so panicking.

Sensible thing to do is work in the job I hate and wood turn after work.

Just really don't want to go back on the building sites.

Yes! I was about to say the same or even build up the wood turning alongside a full time job.

Look on it as temporary.

Go back to the job you hate and give yourself time to get things straight and then either go part-time or quit to do your wood turning.

What do you make? Is it realistically sellable?

Sam had this, he stayed working for 12 months whilst we saved so he could quit, now has job he loves and even managed to get a pay hike!

Many of us have been there. Positive action is the only way out. Start today, research sales opportunities for your wood turning, make a plan!

It’s true though. My friend opened a kinky air b n b. Making an absolute fortune! Lots of health and safety and risk assessments etc and you have to do it properly but it’s always rented out. Day and night! More a BDSM type thing though.
