100 miles distance

Can it work?

Yes. I wouldn’t have said so but if it’s worth it it’s worth it. If you find the right person you won’t care.

My ex and I lived 150 miles away from each other for years. And ended up being together for 10 in total. So, it worked at the time.

Yes of course if the person is the one and you are both prepared to work at it.

The first 5 years of our relationship I was often working in another country. At one point I was on the other side of the world and we saw each other for only 3 weeks in 12 months but we are still together after 28 years (married for 25 years)

This.

My ex lived over 300 miles away, my previous 100 miles away. If you want it enough, you can make it work.

For awhile. But in the end if you want the things to move to the next level, a compromise will be needed.

We live on a small island and small island mentality makes it easy to feel like 100 miles is a long way! If I've learnt anything from travelling, it's that what feels like a long way for us, is a trip down the road to most

If it's worth 100 miles of your time and their time, it will work fine for as long as you want it to

Any distance can work, providing you have a plan to see each other regularly and a solid end game in place to be together in the long run. It’s tough while you’re working stuff out, but same country, 100 miles. No problem at all.

We started out with Hannah in New York and me in the UK. Then it became Hannah in the UK and me in Austria. Then it becamebboth of us in the UK but she was in the North of England and I was in the South. We finally moved in together a couple of weeks ago.

It can work but if you are serious about each other it would be sensible to look into your options for living a lot closer together.

I am guessing it's all about the effort made? I suppose the 1 concern is it's not a conventional relationship so how do you deal with the swinging side? You know? Maybe I'm over thinking xx

It could work depending on how committed both are. But life can get in the way. Abscess makes the heart grow fonder, but also out of sight out of mind could apply.

Depends on the couple I say

True. Depends what it is also. We only meet each other so it’s definitely worth the journey when we can, we just can’t that often! Whereas if it was 50 miles it would be a lot easier! x

If both make the effort it can work. As long as both people are happy, their own rules work for them.

I don't think it matters if it's a conventional relationship. Some people use that as an excuse to behave badly.

It has failed & has worked for us in the past. Family life is the big one really. We have had single ladies stay with us doing all the things friends would do but then doing things vanilla friends wouldn't do too.

If its just an overnight sex thing then maybe not, the more you want/get out of it the more effort you will make.
