How many is too many?

Profile pics! I'd appreciate opinions on this as I always get the sensation i've too many compared to most.

Do you subscribe to the notion that less is more? Or if the pics are pleasing the more the merrier? Is there the risk of excess repetition? I've tried to narrow public pics down to 25 or so but for the life of me this is proving impossible! Anyone experience similar?

Caveating this with people are free to run their profile as they wish. If you like having lots of photos, good on you. Flaunt it and other clichéd sayings.

You do have a few too many Chill.

I think that if they are different then it's not too bad. But ones that are all adopting a similar pose (your fondness for the Hamlet stance as an example) it gets a bit samey and dull.

I can't really talk, I really should take more photos. I think there's a happy medium between my pitiful, meagre offering and your overindulged love of self potraits.

I tend to go by, are they relatively current, and/or unique in some way? If not, remove.

But I don't think too many (tasteful) pictures is an issue.

I tend to look through only the first couple of pages of pics, it's just to get a flavour. Give them a sneaky peek in the public stuff and give all the juicy stuff in your private pics

I tend to stick to around 20 - 30 public pics and have the rest in friends. I also try to have a variety of pics there that, I hope, portray what I actually look like!

Personally I find it dull when people’s pics are all of the same type/genre!

I think you have a great variety of pics my lovely - but I’d probably move a few of them over to friends to reduce the numbers. Personally I rarely look beyond the first page when I’m looking at someone’s public pics - but perhaps that’s just because I have a short attention span!

Hide the duplicates, ie 7th December 18 and 27th September are very similar, so hide the older one.

Start that way and you’ll reduce your numbers

In my opinion you have a lot of similar pictures. Try to break it up a little and be imaginative in your pics ..You do have some great pics btw Mr California. If I looked that good I would have them all on show. Lol.. I keep adding new ones and hiding old ones to shake it up a bit. However once people get to meet you and see you actually have a great personality and are a very charming handsome guy . I bet they are like putty in your hands my friend.

I really need to do something about my profile pics, the vast majority are shite.

The good ones are in my friends only gallery, which is kinda pointless really.

I could edit my face out and put them public, but I doubt if they'd make a difference to my interactions.

So I'm a bit meh around the whole thing....

I do have a lot of pics on my profile I know. The main reason being is that I no longer have them on my mobile so keeping them in my Fab gallery is a memory. I've changed my mobile virtually every year and lost most of my pics so that is why I like to keep the older ones. I couldn't care less what other people think, it's my profile.

Its your profile so its whatever works or you feel happy with Chills. First you question your profile now your pictures. Dont take any notice of what others think. What's the saying " if it works dont change it".

6 to 12 pictures is enough on a profile to know if theres an attraction of some sort in my option. I feel your pain as I'm a picture tart with about 500 on my profile now but they are all hidden except a few.

I prefer a profile to have a broad enough range of good photos, such that I can form my own reasonable perception of how someone looks. I don't have a maximum that people should have but I encourage you to critically review your own to evaluate if a stranger could easily picture you well.

It's often better to leave filler pics out, if they don't add extra insight. The blurry pics likewise, as they don't assist in forming a crystal clear image.

Reduce the no of pics where it's not just you - they don't generally build on the ability to perceive you - and we're not interested in other people.

If it's about you and what you enjoy, does it matter if it turns most people off? Or will it simply be a filter to find those who appreciate its penisy presence?

Why do you feel you need to reduce the amount of pics on your profile? You will attract people who like the same as you- lots of pics.

You'll put off people like me and that can only be a good thing.
