What is the most expensive item of clothing that you bought ?

Do you wear it often to get your money's worth or was it a mistake that is hidden away at the back of your wardrobe or sold

My wedding dress.

Was cheap though (in relation to wedding dresses). Was the last size left, so was on sale. £400

How much did people spend on their wedding dress sounds like a thread all of it's own

Do you still wear it to get your money's worth, out clubbing, to work, for gardening etc ?

ha ha..probably a fake leather bike jacket for 30 quid..I can't think of anything else I have bought that's more expensive....spending anything more on clothing would have probably had me hyperventilating

A moderately expensive watch (hundreds not thousands). I've had it eleven years, though, and it's still in excellent condition.

My suits normally cost around £300 to £450.

But the most expensive single items are my cycling clothes.. £150 cycle shorts £120 for a short sleeve top, £180 for the shoes...

from Home Counties to Middle Earth

Bought a dress for £1,100 once - in the days when I had money (before kids lol)

In terms of £/size, probably the most expensive would be a G-string which was £60. And yes, I wear it - I love it!

I bought an Alexander McQueen evening dress from Harvey Nichols in the sale. It was £495, half price and for a very special occasion. God I felt good in it

Hiding in the shadows

I have several outrageously expensive designer dresses.

A former job always had a huge ball every January, posh frocks were essential

I've only ever worn each once, keep thinking I should sell them, but then I think, one day I may need one!

I stupidly bought a fur coat.....

It is the most gaudy looking thing in the world and I honestly look like a silver back gorilla when I wear it.....

I think I maybe have worn it twice.......

These are the stupid things you waste your money on ...... when you don’t have children to support.....

I spent £100 on party dress I wore to Xmas party and a wedding. It was actually in half price sale so I got a really good deal.

This was 10 years ago mind. I haven't spent more money on clothes since as I'd rather go on beach holiday abroad.

Kink would be a latex catsuit which I definitely wear that was £450

Non kink would possibly be a Paul Smith crombie which I wear all the time and was well considerably more

Hiding In A Bush

A moderately priced mid hundreds Bulova watch & a Diesel watch!!

A Burberry coat in the mid hundreds

A few expensive branded wax jackets

If I total up the cost of all my trainers, that would be thousands probably...

Loads of other stuff, all bought when I was earning silly money and had no outgoing as work paid for all my food and accommodation!!

......

Oh and my car....if that counts, paid 8k cash years ago for it!!

Trickers and Loakes brogues for me ... shoes are an indulgence. Wear regularly on a rotating basis. Easily justified by the fact that they will now (most probably) outlast me.

... and most expensive single item was a watch for my lad (that he cant afford to service!)
