Ask 100 people that question and you'll get 100 different answers - one persons "normal" is another's "off the scale kinky"

"Vanilla" tends to be used nlt necessarily in a derogatory fashion but certainly as a way of describing something somehow "lesser" than the person describing it's version of "normal".

I first came across the term when I discovered the BDSM/kink scene and it was used to describe anyone that didn't have an interest in that scene.

Either way, vanilla, normal, kinky are all just terms with different definitions for different people - does it really matter so long as those involved are enjoying themselves?
